Christina W. Giles is the principal in MEDICAL STAFF SOLUTIONS, a consulting firm specializing in assessment and development of medical staff organizational structures in the hospital environment, survey preparation for hospitals, MCO's, and CVO's,file audits for compliance with NCQA or Joint Commission standards; education and training of credentialing personnel, development/revision of medical staff bylaws and related documents, policies and procedures; development/revision of credentialing processes and accompanying procedures for hospitals, physician organizations, managed care and credentialing verification organizations.

Chris has over 25 years experience working in teaching and community hospitals, and as a consultant serving hospitals, physician group practices, managed care organizations, PHO's and CVO's.

Chris has a B.A. in Education and a M.S. in Human Service Management. She has been certified by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) since 1984, served as President of the Massachusetts Association of Medical Staff Services from 1984-85 and as northeast regional representative on the NAMSS Board of Directors from 1985-86. She has served as a NAMSS Faculty member since 1989 and as a member of the NAMSS Education Council. She has written, developed and presented educational programs for both state and national audiences. She is an instructor for a distance learning associates degree program in Medical Staff Services at El Centro College, Dallas, TX. She is a founding member of Edge-u-Cate, LLC, a speakers' bureau and provider of educational resources for medical staffs, medical service and credentialing professionals and related healthcare management professionals.

She served as a NCQA surveyor for credentialing verification organizations. She served as contributing writer and editor on the 3rd edition of the Handbook of Medical and Professional Staff Management, published by the Texas Society of Medical Staff Services, and to C&R Publications: Advisor for Medical and Professional Staff Services. She served as an editorial advisor and contributor to Aspen Publishers for the publication: Medical Staff Management and contributing editor to The Credentialing Handbook published by Aspen.

She served as Chair and faculty member for the Credentialing Management Certificate Program sponsored by The Healthcare Assembly of New England for five years.
